I'm dedicating this module to my doggy! I don't want to forget and he was like a best friend (like most dogs are). December 31, 2006 is the day of his death, forever to be remembered for as long as possible! May you rest in peace, Mikey!

| 「メーりクりスマス」 Hey guys! So I'm finally done with my finals and I was able to talk to my applied voice professor today. He gave me some songs to look at, but he told me that I can find music that I would like to sing as well. I really, really want to sing some of Yuki Kajiura's work, but I cannot find sheet music for it at all! I want to sing something in Japanese, yo. Anyway, I'm leaving for home tomorrow for Christmas break, so I've been getting all my stuff packed and what not. I had to defrost my fridge. Water everywhere, man. But it's pretty much empty now. Also, I lost my keys last night, and I couldn't find them at all. So my friends and I had an epic quest to find them. None of us did, ha ha. So after a few hours and all of them left, I found them. Weird. I was really happy, though. I need to keep a better eye on my keys. I've lost them many times this year already. <.< It snowed a whole bunch last night, too. I wanted to go out and play in the snow with everyone, but I couldn't find my keys at that point in time so I just sat around with a friend. I'm hoping it will snow like that again tonight so that I can go play. I guess that's all I have to say for now, though. I hope all of you enjoy your holiday break and what not. I would never want to play ping pong like that! D: Though the rich people's slo-mo faces crack me up. ~flo~ | | |
| I'm pretty sure I was the last one to leave my residence hall last night, but that's okay. One of my friends stayed later than he had to and kept me company. I left around 9:16. My dad got there earlier than that, but neither one of us had stuff for my fish so that he could travel with us, so we had to go to the store and get a container for him to swim in while we drove. Ha, ha. Now he's on my dresser, though, and he's all happy. Skittles is wandering around my room at the moment. She must have been upset with me last night, because she didn't really want me to pet her, but this morning she's all over me. She was following me around everywhere. When I brushed my teeth she sat on the toilet and watched me. It was cute. I visted Chubbs and the other cats last night as well, because they were scratching at their door. They knew I was home, I guess. Lol. This morning I went downstairs to ask when my dentist appointment was, and the daycare kids that were down there were all like, "Hi, Charlie!" I was kind of confused at first, but then I was like, "I'm not Charlie." And they all looked at me funny. It made me laugh. Mom gave me a hug while I was down there. I have yet to see Levi, though I know he's home. I saw his shoes. So yeah. I'm excited to be home, and I really can't wait for Thanksgiving. I miss my mom's food so much. It sounds dumb, I know, but I really do miss it. D:
Oh yeah. Happy Thanksgiving, guys. <3 Have fun stuffin' your faces with food. I know I will. ~flo~ | | |
| The essays are back! I just finished paper #2 last Thursday, and already paper #3's rough draft is due this Thursday. At least it's a narrative and will be easier to write. I'm going to write mine about college night, and how it helped me to realize that I wasn't going to get anywhere without working hard. So yay. Today was rather gloomy, though. Cold, too. Kind of a bummer. We did a worksheet in Japanese class that was pretty fun. I'm having trouble with one of the sentences, though. I actually need help on it. Ha, ha. I met with my tutor yesterday. She taught me more kanji. Jenn, I can't wait to show everyone the kanji I've learned! It's so awesome! Yesterday I also went to the choir/instrumental concert in Dawson. It was amazing! I forgot that the choir surrounds the room when they sing Kirie, so I had a line of guys just standing in front of me because I sat in the very back of the room. It was quite awkward. Otherwise it was a great concert, and all the performances were really good. So I thought my fish had ammonia burns, and I think I was right. Ever since I did a 100% water change, the black marks on his fins have started to fade. I'm going to try and do a 25% water change this week before the ammonia levels get too high again. I love my fish and I don't want it to suffer at all. I'm definitely getting it a bigger bowl, and maybe something for it to play in since he's so energetic. I think it's funny when he nibbles at my fingers. I'm going to a friend's house this weekend. I hope we have a lot of fun. This will be my second visit to a college friend's house. I went to a Halloween party at Nicole's house last time, and this time it will be Shannon's turn to have me terrorize her home. Yay. Also, today is my friend's birthday! I feel bad that I can't give him anything. I didn't want to draw him something because I don't quite know him well enough yet, and I haven't been able to go to the store...I don't know. I'm just gonna give him a hug and hang out with him. Hopefully that will suffice. Speaking of birthdays, we all had a surprise party for Jackie, Chelsea, and Alicia the other day. It was hilarious. Chelsea and Jackie tried to run away and Alicia was just like, "Whatever. I'll eat pizza." xD I drew pictures in their giant birthday cards. It was great. I drew Chelsea a whore so that Chelsea can be a pimp and make her whore earn monies for her. Lol. Kelly added to it by drawing a manwhore with money coming out of his pants. Yay for the Bleach Rock Musical! It's pretty great. Alicia showed me all the funny parts of it, one of them being Urahara's song (which is at 4:51 in the video I've provided). They also play Jan-Ken-Pon in the middle of the show to see who will sing one of the missing cast member's songs. It's funny. Hitsugaya also gets stuck in the trap door and can't get out in another video. Rukia and Urahara are definitely the best singers of the BRM group. ~flo~ | | |
| Yet again, it has been another month since I've updated my site. I've just been so busy. So we watched another movie in my Japanese class. Man, we watch some awesome movies, I'll tell you that much. And today we did an activity where we raced to see who could put little beans in a cup first using chopsticks. I won, but in the championship I lost. Becca won. She is pretty darn fast, ha ha. I've also become interested in a sorority, but I do not have the money to pay for tuition fees for the sorority. I need to save up for my trip to Japan before anything else. It's such a shame, too, because everyone there seemed so nice. It was ASA, and I went to their hall for the pumpkin carving night, which turned out to be rather interesting. Someone left pumpkin seeds in the oven for too long, and they caught on fire. Yeah... Yesterday Kelly and I raked a bunch of leaves into a pile using sticks because we didn't have rakes. Apparently that is immature. These guys told us we were immature and asked if we really went to this college. What a bunch of party poopers. Also, there is this kid that I see everywhere, and today I got to talk to him for a while. I just really hate how awkward I am when it comes to meeting new people. Since Kelly had already eaten dinner (I missed going with everyone because I was taking a nap), this kid offered to let me eat with him since he wasn't going anywhere. I decided it was okay, even though I didn't know him well. I just wish I wasn't so self-concious when I eat. I can never eat normally in front of people I don't know well. Anyway, after I said good bye to him in Ritchie, I came back to my dorm and started working on my essay. About an hour into it, he's at my door way. Yeah....it was weird. I was like, "How did you get in here?" Silly people hanging out in the lobby just let anyone in apparently. But he's really funny and I think he'll make an interesting friend, even though my story just made him sound like a crazy stalker. That's about it besides homework and what not. I have essays to write and quizzes to study for. Fun. I am such a nerd. I spent my weekend finding Disney songs in other languages. But you know what? I loved it. And Aladdin's Japanese voice stole my heart. <3 ~flo~ | | |
